Explore the Driftless Area
There is plenty to do and see in the Driftless area of Wisconsin. Showcased below are some of the favorites!
The kickapoo river
Devil's Hole Ranch is located just three miles north of the Village of Ontario. Ontario is a popular place to put in a canoe, kayak, or tube on the famous Kickapoo River. Nothing like enjoying the sunshine on the water, with beautiful views all around.
wildcat moutain state park
Wildcat Mountain State Park is located on a steep ridge with stunning views of the Kickapoo River Valley. With 25.8 miles of trails amidst 3,603 acres, most wooded, the park is a favorite destination for hikers and horseback riders alike. The Park has a campground for horseback riders, but make sure to reserve a spot well in advance.
Many farms surrounding the ranch are owned by Amish families, many of whom offer goods for sale. From homemade jams, to immaculately-made furniture, to quilts, to horse products, you are sure to find something that suits your taste. Clinic participants have especially enjoyed visiting Vernon Yoder’s harness shop. Mr. Yoder offers leather goods (he always has a wide-selection of chaps for sale, or he will custom make you a pair) and does repairs.
