*Looking for a longer weekend and experience? Extended clinics are possible on Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day Weekends. Please note that a minimum number of participants is needed in order to offer the additional day.

Friday

2:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Arrival

*Please plan to arrive no later than 5:00 PM if at all possible in order to complete the obstacle course. With that being said, we understand many of our guests work and that there will be conflicts. Either way, please confirm your ETA by the Thursday before your clinic date.

  • Clinic check-in and pay remaining fee balance
  • Set up camp or check into accommodation
  • Accommodate your horse

3:00 PM – 7:30 PM | Obstacle Course

  • Practice and warm-up for the weekend via our obstacle course
  • Enjoy the nightly campfire while meeting new people

7:30 PM – 9:00 PM | Dinner and Evening Gathering

*Time will vary as it depends on when all participants complete the obstacle course.

  • Dinner
  • Introductions
  • Orientation: history of and facts about the Ranch, information on rotational grazing and moving cattle, explanation of how we will move cattle together, and Q&A
  • Campfire

Saturday

7:00 AM | Coffee Available!

7:30 AM – 8:30 AM | Breakfast and Morning Gathering (concurrently for all riders and wranglers)

9:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Cattle Drive

*Return time will vary depending on the destination of the Drive.

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM | Lunch and Mid-day Gathering

  • Debrief the Cattle Drive and Q&A

2:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Cattle Drive and/or Afternoon Activities

*If there is no cattle drive in the afternoon or if there is extra time, participants may take advantage of several afternoon activities.

  • Trail riding
  • Riding in the arena
  • Private or small group assessments/lessons
  • Obstacle course (compete with yourself or have friendly competition with other riders)
  • Excursion to Vernon Yoder Harness Shop

6:30 PM – 7:30 AM | Dinner, Campfire, and Free Time

  • Time to enjoy local attractions, clean up, and/or socialize

7:00 AM | Coffee Available!

7:30 AM – 8:30 AM | Breakfast and Morning Gathering (concurrently for all riders and wranglers)

Traditional clinics start late afternoon on Fridays and go through about 2pm on Sundays.

Extended clinics start late afternoon on Fridays and go through 2pm on Mondays. The July 4th weekend is the exception, starting on Thursday and going through Sunday.

A little piece of heaven and a whole lot of fun at Devil’s Hole Ranch. An experience we will never forget! Tough trails, moved some big herds of cows, and crossed endless creeks and streams and over tons of downed logs. A lot of history and family pride put into that place!
